Double-Take® Software Announces Support for Microsoft® Windows Server 2008 and New IPv6 and Transactional NTFS Features
Southborough, Mass. – March 3, 2008 – Double-Take® Software (NASDAQ: DBTK), a leading provider of continuous data protection and recovery software, announced today that it will support Microsoft Windows Server 2008. As enterprises start adopting the newest Microsoft platform, Double-Take Software will provide top-notch solutions to protect business critical data and applications on the new platform.
In addition to providing deep support for new Windows Server 2008 features, Double-Take® for Windows will also be leveraging those features to provide support for Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) and Transactional NTFS (TxF). IPv6 is designated as the successor of IPv4, the current version of the Internet Protocol, which is used for communication on computer networks. TxF is a new feature of the NTFS file system which allows Windows application developers to write file output routines that are guaranteed to either completely succeed or completely fail, ensuring the integrity of data.
